Free To Ride Surf Shop is all about supporting our local talent!  We find Capitola's very own Summer Rhee-Pizano's Day of the Dead Art to be truly beautiful, joyful, and one-of-a-kind!

About the artist:

Summer Rhee-Pizano's style gives a nod to traditional Dia de los Muertos Folk styles... always colorful and whimsical,  if it makes you smile, it has met its objective!

During the wee hours of the night of [October 31st] and the morning of [November 1st], Summer had a dream... Summer was pregnant and in labor with three souls.  She recognized two of the souls as her two daughters, but who was this third soul, this Angelito (little angel) that came to her?

Upon waking, Summer felt compelled to commemorate this "third soul" that visited her, significantly, on El Dia de los Angelitos...

Many Dia de los Muertos paintings later, Summer still feels passion and joy for the paintings, and will always remember the Angelito of her dreams.
